TOTAL REHAB™ Integrated Therapy Services is a family operated, community based private practice servicing the Gold Coast and Northern NSW regions.

Services provided through TOTAL REHAB™ incorporate a holistic and collaborative approach, with communication through consultation and liaison with clients, treating parties, funding bodies and family members vital to ensure treatment, rehabilitation and care goals can be achieved and maintained as efficiently and effectively as possible.

What we are looking for

  • Occupational Therapists with experience in wheelchair prescriptions and home modifications or specialising in areas such as intellectual disabilities, brain injury or neurological conditions.
  • You must have a flexible and client-focused approach to your work.
  • You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical judgement and thinking skills, an ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships.
  • A desire and ongoing commitment to improving your professional knowledge and skills.
  • The ability to work independently whilst also participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills

Core responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate services to clients and NDIS participants, addressing family/client strengths, needs and priorities.
  • Provide services and supports within the parameters of available funding.
  • Communicate assessed needs clearly and concisely to participants, coordinators and funding organisations within appropriate time frames.
  • Completing relevant documentation relating to assessments, intervention and liaison to a high standard, including reports and client file case notes.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications.
  • Registered as a member of AHPRA
  • Current Blue Card and Police Check
  • Ability to work as a contractor (ABN and PL/PI insurances)
  • Driver’s license and own car (with insurance)
  • Home office and computer
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite and Outlook email platforms.

 Desirable:

  • 3 years experience practising in the relevant discipline, specifically:
    • Occupational Therapists with experience in wheelchair prescriptions and home modifications or specialising in areas such as intellectual disabilities, brain injury or neurological conditions.
  • Current practicing member of Occupational Therapy Australia.
  • Any experience with Iinsight Case Management Software will be highly regarded.

The role is a contract ‘fee for service role’, with hourly payments negotiable pending skills and experience.
